We are delighted to announce the appointment of John Whaling as Non-Executive Director of Tekfloor Ltd.
Tekfloor is coming up to its seventh year in business and has seen incredible growth during that time.
As each year has passed, we have continually strived to improve our offering and service levels by obtaining accreditations such as FORS Silver; moving into an impressive new head office in Goldthorpe; installing robust IT systems; investing in a brand-new fleet of HGVs and Moffetts – to name but a few.
We see the appointment of a Non-Executive Director as a natural next step in Tekfloor’s ambitious plans for sustainable growth, and we could not have found a more qualified person than John Whaling.
John joined SIG plc (or Sheffield insulations as it was back then) in 1979 as a trainee computer programmer. He was appointed as a director in 1989, just before to the stock market floatation, and remained as a UK board member until leaving in 2011. Since then he has spent much of his time helping various charities and local businesses. He can often be found watching Rotherham Titans RUFC, where he is currently Commercial Director.
Given John’s knowledge, skills and expertise, we are certain that he will play an instrumental part in offering support and advice to the directors of Tekfloor, as we continue to maintain our plans for rapid growth.
